What to Bring

  • Any medical records, imaging, or lab results related to your eyes

  • A list of your current medications and dosages

  • All eye drops or ophthalmic medications

  • Insurance cards and required referrals

  • Your glasses or contact lenses

  • Someone to drive you, as your eyes will be dilated

Before Your Visit

To make your appointment smoother, please print and complete the pre-appointment forms and bring them with you.

What to Expect

When you arrive, our staff will greet you and help you get checked in. A technician will review your medical and eye history, and your pupils will be dilated as part of the exam.

Your physician will then examine your eyes, review any needed testing, and go over your results and treatment plan. Most testing is done the same day to keep your visit as convenient as possible. New patient appointments usually take 1 to 3 hours, depending on complexity.

Treatment Options

Our office can provide many treatments the same day if needed, including laser therapy, cryotherapy, intravitreal and periocular injections, and photodynamic therapy. Surgical procedures many need to be performed at specialized centers.

Because your eyes will be dilated—and you may receive same-day treatment—we recommend having a driver. We’ll provide sunglasses before you leave.

If you have any questions before or after your appointment, we’re always happy to help.
